RKI supports
care for the environment through:
- Reduction and control of chemicals used in farming.
RKI's extension team advise farmers on optimum fertilizer and
herbicide usage in line with government policy.
- Use of rotating and cover crops also based on extension
service advice, to minimize fertilizer consumption.
- Proper handling of waste from our factory:
- Waste from sweet corn canning is processed into silage for
cattle farms and used as compost on our organic farms.
- Waste water treatment: a 10 rai area has been provided for
treatment of waste water before it is recycled for use in
farm irrigation.
